The challenge
Protium is an RBI-registered NBFC that lends to MSMEs and individuals across India. Employees use AI tools on loan files, KYC documents and account data every day. Protium's security team needed those prompts to stay inside its own infrastructure, with no vendor able to see the underlying data.
The setup
NexusNest runs entirely inside Protium's own cloud, in air-gapped mode. The server makes no outbound calls to NexusNest or any third party: no telemetry, no licence checks, no update checks. Protium operates and patches it like any other internal system.
What runs today
PromptWall redacts names, PAN, Aadhaar, UPI IDs, and bank and loan account numbers before a prompt reaches ChatGPT, Claude or any other AI tool. NetLens gives Protium's security team visibility into how AI is actually used across the company, built only from redacted text.
Why it matters
Protium's security team ran a full vendor due-diligence review before rollout. Two things came directly out of that review: an opt-in fail-closed mode for teams that want prompts blocked rather than sent unredacted if detection is ever unavailable, and a customer-defined custom redaction rule builder. Both shipped for every NexusNest customer, not just Protium.
